Crystal Geyser Water Company
Open Letter to the Citizens of Orland CA

Dear Friends and Supporters:

We are disappointed to announce that a business decision has been reached to end our pursuit of Orland as the location of a new Crystal Geyser Water Company Sparkling Mineral Water Facility.

This is a difficult announcement to make particularly to the nearly 200 Orland area residents who have personally met with us and applied for the 25 full time positions we needed to staff this new facility. We are so impressed with the wealth of talented people in Orland looking for career level jobs so that they don't have to move out or drive miles to find jobs that could support their families and make use of their education and skills.

Orland was Crystal Geyser Water Company's primary site choice because of the sincere support by the job applicants and the majority of the people of Orland, its elected officials and their staff.

Because of the uncertain timing of completion of a new Orland plant and the open-ended nature of ongoing legal expenses, it would be best for the company to locate our new facilities in another area.

Crystal Geyser Water Company came to Orland seeking to build a quality environmentally-sound facility that would produce a natural healthy sparkling mineral water beverage product. Our exhaustive studies by a team of professional water experts indicated our Orland operation would not negatively impact water resources and we looked forward to working in harmony with Orland's agricultural community. Our commitment remains to be responsible stewards of our water resources.

We want to thank the vast majority of Orland citizens who saw Crystal Geyser as an opportunity to bring a new and environmentally sound company to Orland. We saw our facility in Orland as not only opening up opportunities for career level positions at our facility but, working with City, County, and State officials, we had already begun the process to help attract new commercial growth and tourism to Orland and Glenn County.

We sincerely appreciate all of your support and hope that the many friends and community leaders in Orland continue to work together to open Orland's doors to attract jobs and commercial growth to this wonderful part of California.

Crystal Geyser Water Company
Open Letter: Setting the Jobs Record Straight

Dear Friends and Supporters:

Let us set the record straight. Crystal Geyser Water Company was fully committed in working to fill the 25 full-time positions from the pool of nearly 200 Orland-area residents we personally interviewed. We openly and steadfastly made that commitment to the people and leadership of Orland and the Governor's Economic Development office in Sacramento.

Any statement to the contrary is simply false. Quite frankly these false statements disrespect the many fine folks we met with and had hoped to hire.

In addition, not only were we planning on hiring 25 people locally but we were working with development officials in Orland, Glenn County and the Governor's Office of Economic Development to help bring additional jobs to Orland. We remain disappointed that these plans were prevented from materializing. We hope that the divisions within the Orland community will be overcome and the local economy allowed to attract jobs and prosper.

Our human resource director Janice Almond and I personally want to thank the vast majority of Orland citizens she and I met with personally who saw Crystal Geyser as an opportunity to bring a new and environmentally sound company to Orland.

We sincerely appreciate all the fine support and hope that the many friends and community leaders in Orland continue to work together to open Orland's doors to attract jobs and commercial growth to this wonderful part of California.
